ThaiData service information, sources and record verification methods
What each part of the service contains
| Company registration | Registration records stored from DBD DataWarehouse+. Details are shown where available; legal names, numbers and status identify the entity. |

| Financial statements | Years and units follow the available dataset. Missing values are not zero. If separate or consolidated basis is not identified, that basis remains unspecified. |
| News | Published ThInfo articles with confirmed company matches, original sources and assessment evidence. No results does not establish that no reports exist elsewhere. |
| Province and industry statistics | Calculated from the stored, cached directory dataset. Counts may differ from the latest registry or a company profile that has just been refreshed. |
How records are updated
- Use the registration number as the identifier to avoid confusing similarly named companies.
- Validate the identifier, source date and returned sections before merging with the stored record.
- Save validated updates. Empty source fields do not erase existing values, and approved corrections receive overwrite protection.
- Refresh caches after saving. A failed source check or validation is not presented as a successful update.
What the dates mean
| Registration date | The establishment date recorded in the registry, not the date ThaiData added the record. |

| Source record date | The date supplied by the source record; it is not necessarily a legal effective date. |
| Last checked | When a successful check obtained data for that company. It does not mean that every field changed. |
| Change observed | When ThaiData observed a difference in adopted records. This is not the legal effective date unless separately established by source evidence. |
| Open API checked_at | When an API request checked the local ThaiData record, not when source data was fetched again. |
| Statistics generated | When an aggregate was calculated from the directory dataset, not when every company in the group was rechecked. |
